After five decades in journalism, Jon Snow is as inquisitive as ever. Now free of the daily news agenda, he’s going to be exploring his many interests with in-depth chats (and fewer rules).

Snowcast is a new weekly podcast, in which Jon will be chatting to original thinkers, campaigners, creators, performers and the occasional provocateur.

The first guest is the writer and broadcaster Jon Ronson who quickly introduces our host to the laissez-faire joys of podcasting with a conversation that covers the state of news and Twitter, as well as conspiracy theories and the culture wars of today.

Upcoming guests include: the neuroscientist Professor Sophie Scott, comedian Munya Chawawa, actor and director Adjoa Andoh, best-selling author Robert Harris and the journalist Gary Younge.
